Hail to Pitt!

Lowcountry Pitt Club

It’s time for some Pitt football!

It is time to get your Pitt football jerseys out of the closet. It is time to find your blue and gold beads. And it is definitely time to get ready to cheer, run around until the flow of energy is better. In other words, it is time to start hang out with the Pitt Club of the Lowcountry, again.

In its opening game of the season, Pitt travels to Utah. The last time these two teams met in 2004–it was not pretty for the Panthers. The game starts at 8:30 pm. It will be broadcast on versus.

The Pitt Club will gather at Hilton Head Brew Pub. There is a new chef and a new menu. There are also tvs outside on the back patio. I am anxious to try out the improvements. I hope you are as well.

Better season than expected

It was a sad evening, Pitt lost to Xavier in the 2nd round. The final score was 71-68. Those of us gathered at the Hilton Head Brew Pub were clearly disappointed, I am proud that the players did so well. Jamie Dixon really is an amazing coach. Pitt, however, had a much better season than was expected. They were expected to finish 9th in the Big East and instead tied for 2nd. The players will mature and do well next year. As the lovely Shelia Mills texted me, ” football season starts on September 2nd against Utah!”
