The Pitt Club had another successful game watch at Hinchey’s last night as 18 Pitt fans showed up to watch the panthers dismantle the Hokies of Virginia Tech, 52-22.  Kenny Pickett is starting to complete his passes more consistently and that opened up a brutal ground game highlighted by Quadree Ollison’s record setting day with 235 yards.  His buddie and running mate, Darrin Hall gained 186 yards and the panthers put up 654 yards of total offense against what used to be the vaunted Bud Foster defense at VA Tech.  This was a stress-free performance that has the Panthers peaking at just the right time this year.  If they defeat either Wake Forrest or Miami in their last 2 games they will have earned the right to face Clemson in the ACC Championship, December 1 in Charlotte.  They are also now bowl-eligible for the first time in 3 years.  There is no doubt that this team is exciting to watch.
Pitt will travel to Wake Forrest to face the Demon Deacons.  Wake Forrest has a balanced offense and can put points on the board so we should not expect a cake walk this Saturday.  This is another opportunity for a good crowd at Hinchey’s
